Wei Fu
Assistant Professor
Soil microecology, molecular transformation of organic matter, and soil ecological rehabilitation.
Wei Fu is an assistant professor at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on soil microecology, molecular transformation of organic matter, and soil ecological rehabilitation.
He studies how plants, soil animals, and microorganisms drive the formation, transformation, and stabilization of organic matter, and how micro-ecological processes regulate soil structure, nutrient cycling, and the recovery of ecological functions in complex environmental systems.
He received his PhD from the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and joined the SOMER Group in 2024. From late 2024 to early 2026, he conducted visiting research in the group of Prof. Matthias Rillig in Germany.
