SOMER members attended the 5th Symposium on Mine Environmental Pollution and Remediation
The 5th Symposium on Mine Environmental Pollution and Remediation was held in Taizhou, Zhejiang. Songlin Wu and Chenglong Lu delivered presentations on coal gangue ecological remediation and root-promoted tailings weathering.
From August 2 to 5, 2026, the 5th Symposium on Mine Environmental Pollution and Remediation was held in Taizhou, Zhejiang. The symposium was jointly organized by South China University of Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology, China University of Geosciences (Beijing), and Taizhou University, and focused on research progress in mine environmental pollution prevention and ecological remediation.
Songlin Wu delivered a presentation on the ecological remediation of coal gangue, while Chenglong Lu presented work on root-promoted tailings weathering. Their presentations introduced the group’s research on the ecological remediation of mine solid wastes, mineral weathering, and tailings pedogenesis.
